DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Russian Ministry of Defense has released videos showing the celebration of Women’s Day, which falls on Sunday, March 8, honoring a number of women soldiers.

This came in a series of tweets posted by the Russian defense on its official page on Twitter, where it also showed that men recruited roses for women soldiers and also civilians in a number of regions of the country.

The celebration covered various sectors of the Russian army from the navy to the air force and others, where some of the videos show flowers for female soldiers as well as ceremonial military formations such as the number 8, which symbolizes the eighth of March.

It is noteworthy that in the year 1975, the United Nations recognized International Women’s Day, which was considered an official holiday in more than one country around the world, of which 8 are considered to be an official holiday / Russia, China, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Angola, Ukraine, Vietnam and Nepal.
