Turkish tourism revenue fell 11.4% in the first quarter

Data from the Turkish Statistics Institute showed today, Thursday, tourism revenues decreased 11.4% in the first quarter of this year to 4.1 billion dollars.

Turkey’s tourism revenue increased 17% last year to $ 34.5 billion, according to previous figures.

Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Arsoy had expected that domestic tourism would start in his country in late May.

Aswi said that the tourism movement throughout the country has been completely stopped due to the government’s measures to prevent the outbreak of the new Corona virus.

Arsoy added that the tourism sector worldwide was negatively affected by the Coruna outbreak.
