Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Astronauts have enchanting views from the other side of the sky, and one of the astronauts of the International Space Station took a wonderful snapshot of the Palm Jumeirah, Palm Jebel Ali and the World Islands in Dubai, as it passed over the skies of the Emirates.
The media office of the Dubai government published this snapshot from space, which highlights the famous landmarks of Dubai, through his official account on Twitter.
NASA astronaut Christopher Cassidy took two pictures of scenes from Dubai aboard the International Space Station as they passed over the UAE sky.
From the International Space Station, Cassidy shared the photos with his followers through his official account, “Instagram”.
Cassidy commented on the two pictures, saying, “There is always a great view when flying over the Emirates !!”
Cassidy wrote in his comment that “It is inspiring to see the first flight of Emirati astronaut Hazza Al Mansouri,” hoping to see Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi on the International Space Station soon.
For his part, the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center republished the two pictures, commenting: “Astronaut Christopher Cassidy took these wonderful pictures of Dubai from space … Thank you! Dubai welcomes you in its sky as it is on its soil!”
Emirati astronaut Hazza Al Mansouri entered the history of space flight as the first Emirati citizen to complete a space mission when he was on the space station in September last year.
