We start with the first study, and perhaps the simplest representation of what it means is that the virus remains alive and suspended in spray droplets in the atmosphere for three hours. .
The study was conducted by scientists from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases of the US National Institutes of Health, and the University of California in Los Angeles and Princeton, and published in the New England Journal of Medicine online on Tuesday.
The researchers found that the virus can survive and infectiously in mist flying in the air for several hours and on surfaces for several days.
The scientists tried to simulate the transmission of the virus from an infected person to the surfaces that are used daily inside the home or hospital by coughing or touching things, and the scientists used a device to distribute the spray in the air in the same way resulting from coughing or sneezing (sprays), and then the scientists studied how long it remained The virus is contagious on surfaces.
The study revealed that the virus, which is carried by the flying mist caused by coughing or sneezing, remains able to survive or infect people through the air for at least three hours.
On plastic and stainless steel, the virus remained for more than three days, but it could not survive for more than a day when it settled on cardboard, and on copper the virus remained for four hours before its effect ended.
The authors of the study, funded by the US government, found that the virus that causes the Covid 19 pandemic has a survival capacity in the open air compared to SARS, the “severe acute respiratory syndrome.”
This could mean that the extent of the Covid epidemic 19 – which is much greater than the SARS outbreak in 2002-2003 – is related to being more easily transmitted from an undiagnosed disease carrier to another person.
This study has been criticized, so experts believe that the use of sprays does not effectively mimic a patient’s cough.
The virus is transmitted mainly through small drops that the patients give out when they cough or sneeze, in which case it is viable for only a few seconds, and the team responsible for the current study conducted similar tests on the SARS virus, and found that the two viruses are similar at this point.
This does not explain why Covid-19 has infected about two hundred thousand people with nearly eight thousand deaths, while SARS has infected only eight thousand people, and killed eight hundred patients.
The authors of the study say the differences between the epidemics “may be caused by other factors, such as a high viral load in the upper respiratory tract” and the ability of patients without symptoms to transmit the emerging corona virus.
The second study was conducted by Chinese researchers, and it was found that people with A blood type (A) may be more susceptible to infection with Coronavirus.
The study involved comparing blood group distribution in 2,173 coronavirus patients from three hospitals in Wuhan and Shenzhen in China.
The results showed that people with (blood) blood type (any) were more at risk of contracting the Coronavirus, compared to other blood groups.
It was also found that people with blood type (or) O have a significantly lower risk of developing coronavirus compared to other blood types.
“Patients with HIV from the blood group (i.e.) campaign may need to receive more vigilant monitoring and intensive and effective treatment,” the researchers wrote – led by Wang Xinghuan.
The researchers said that the study is preliminary and needs more work, but they urged governments and medical facilities to consider the differences of blood groups in their treatment plans to eliminate the virus.
Blood groups (also known as blood groups or types) are a mechanism for classifying blood types, and are made to determine the type of blood a person can receive, and when organ organs are donated.
The type of blood type depends on the presence or absence of certain proteins on the red blood cells, and these proteins are called antigens (antigen), and the blood type is determined by heredity from the parents.

In a press conference held by the German Robert Koch Research Institute on Tuesday, its president, Luther Feller, said that the research institute favored the transmission of the new epidemic of corona between humans for years.
He continued, “We know that the spread of the epidemic passes through waves, and we do not know, of course, its precise speed. It will take years for us to reach 60 to 70% infection rate. This is largely related to the development of a vaccine to be used. ” The expert is betting that this will happen next year.
In the same context, the German “Robert Koch” institute raised its assessment of the threat posed by the Corona virus to the health of citizens in Germany to a “high” level.
The head of the institute attributed the raising of the evaluation to the increase in the number of cases, as well as to the warning signals issued by public health authorities and hospitals. Feller appealed to hospitals to increase their capabilities in intensive care units.
