German football club Cologne announced on Friday that examinations of the newly born Coronavirus (Covid-19) showed that three people had been infected with the club, and that they would be undergoing isolation for 14 days.

The club added that the three people did not show any symptoms, and the German newspaper “Bild” stated that the injured are two players from the team and a physiotherapist at the club.

Tests were conducted for players, members of the technical and administrative staff yesterday, but the club did not announce the names of the three injured for privacy reasons.

Although there are positive results, group exercises can be held as planned, with all infection prevention measures in place since April 6.

“The measures taken so far, as well as the regular testing strategy, have proven successful, so that we are now applying individual solutions,” said Horst Hildt, managing director of the Cologne Club.
